Overview
The DM-TS100 is a general-purpose platinum resistance probe for process and utility temperature measurement. The element is a Class A PT100 in a 6 mm 316L stainless sheath, wired 4-wire so the lead resistance cancels out and the reading does not change when the cable length changes.
The probe is available with a fixed G1/2 thread or a spring-loaded compression fitting that holds the tip against the pipe wall or thermowell bottom. Spring loading removes the air gap that causes slow and low readings on immersion probes, which is the most common installation error in temperature measurement.
Key features
- Class A PT100 element, ±0.15 °C at 0 °C, 4-wire connection
- 6 mm 316L stainless sheath, length 100 to 500 mm
- Response time t90 = 8 s in flowing water
- G1/2 thread, spring-loaded compression fitting or clamp connection
- -50 to +400 °C range, IP67 connection head
- Optional 3-point calibration certificate
Typical applications
- Hot water and steam line temperature
- Bearing and gearbox temperature monitoring
- HVAC immersion and duct temperature
- Sanitary process temperature with clamp connection
Selection note
Immersion depth should be at least ten sheath diameters in liquid and more in gas. A 6 mm probe fitted into a 30 mm pocket will read the pocket wall, not the process, and the error grows as the pipe temperature diverges from the media temperature.
