DM-CB05 M12 5-Pin Shielded Sensor Cable, 5 m PUR

Overview

The DM-CB05 is an overmoulded five-pin cordset for standard sensor connections. The moulded body seals the conductor entry permanently, which removes the gland that is responsible for most water ingress in field-wired connectors, and the PUR jacket resists coolant, oil and repeated flexing.

Shielding is included as standard, because the cost difference against unshielded cable is small and the benefit in any panel with a drive is large. The shield is bonded to the coupling nut so it terminates at the sensor housing and at the panel gland.

Installation note

Tighten the coupling nut by hand and then a quarter turn; over-tightening distorts the seal and under-tightening lets water in. Respect the bend radius at the connector body, because the failure point on a moulded cordset is where the cable leaves the moulding.
