DM-SC08 8-Port IO-Link Master, IP67

Overview

The DM-SC08 brings eight IO-Link sensors onto an industrial Ethernet network from a field-mounted box, removing the need to run individual analogue or discrete cables back to the cabinet. Each port is class A, so standard three-wire sensor cable works, and the master stores the parameter set for every connected device.

Parameter storage is the feature that changes maintenance. When a sensor is replaced, the master writes the stored parameters into the new device automatically, so a technician does not need a laptop, a configuration file or a recipe sheet at the machine.

Network note

IO-Link runs at 230.4 kbit/s over an unshielded three-wire cable up to 20 m. Keep the cable away from drive output cables and use the master’s port diagnostics to confirm the signal quality before commissioning the line.
